Consultation
Not sure if therapy is needed? Start with a consultation.
Psychological and behavioral consultation is available for parents who are unsure whether a certain behavior warrants professional intervention. Many behaviors are appropriate in child development and simply need parent guidance. A consultation is the best way to assess the situation and create a plan moving forward.

Consultations cover
- Behavioral concerns
- Parenting interventions
- Divorce and custody questions
- Developmental concerns
- Referrals from schools or pediatricians for assessment
What to expect
Sessions, frequency and payment
How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 50 minutes long.
How often will we meet?
Frequency is determined by each person’s needs and goals. Often, weekly sessions are the most effective for helping overall behavior and reaching specific goals tailored to each individual.
How do I pay?
Cash and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) are accepted. Payments are due before each session. We offer private-pay services and accept select insurance plans — call us to discuss your options.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments reserve a specific time for you, so a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. The full session fee is charged for appointments missed, canceled or rescheduled without 24 hours’ notice. See our policies page for details.
