What families notice

Getting the most from a virtual session

  • Use a private space with a door that closes, to protect your confidentiality. If anyone else is present in the room, let your therapist know
  • Be present and ready to begin at the designated time
  • If you lose connection, your therapist will call you back or restart the session
  • Do not join while walking or driving, and limit distractions such as other people or pets
  • Do not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Do not record your session without the knowledge and express permission of your therapist
How we help

Quality of care in telehealth

Research indicates that the efficacy of telehealth is comparable to in-person care. Providers engage in the same ways they would in the office, and treatment retention rates for virtual care are slightly higher than traditional office-based care.

  • Every service we offer is available online — individual, couples, family, teen and young-adult therapy
  • Available throughout the state of California, and in select other states
  • Fits around school, work and commute schedules
  • Clients tell us they feel just as connected as they do in person
FAQ

Common questions

Can I “connect” with a therapist over video the way I would in person?
Absolutely. Feedback from our clients is that they feel just as connected as they do in person, and that they love the convenience and safety of a telehealth appointment.
Does telehealth work for young children?
It can, depending on the child and the goals. In-person sessions in Huntington Beach can also be combined with telehealth sessions or parent check-ins. Your therapist will recommend what fits your child.

You do not have to figure this out alone

Whether you know exactly what your child needs or simply sense that something has changed, we can help you decide on the next step. Call, or request a consultation and we will reach out.
